While the Crosstrek Hybrid is only sold in one well-equipped trim level, the 2023 Crosstrek is offered in Base, Premium, new Special Edition, Sport, and Limited trims. This summer, both versions will start showing up at Subaru dealers.
The iconic Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, Active Torque Vectoring, and 8.7-inch ground clearance are standard on every Crosstrek, making it a highly capable small SUV.
A 2.0-liter, 4-cylinder Subaru Boxer engine rated at 152 horsepower powers the Crosstrek Base and Premium models. Both model levels are available with either an optional Lineartronic® CVT or a standard 6-speed manual transmission (continuously variable transmission). The EPA estimates the fuel efficiency of the CVT versions to be 28 city/33 highway/30 combination MPG. The MPG ratings for the 6-speed manual variants are 22 city/29 highway/25 combined. The 2.0-liter BOXER engine and Lineartronic CVT are included as standard equipment with the Special Edition.
A Lineartronic® CVT and an 182 horsepower 2.5-liter BOXER engine are standard on the 2023 Crosstrek Sport and Limited. Both vehicles have an EPA-estimated 27 city/34 highway/29 combined MPG in terms of fuel efficiency. An 8-speed manual mode with steering wheel paddle shifters is standard on models with CVTs, with the exception of the Base.
The Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive, a 2.0-liter direct-injection SUBARU BOXER® engine, two electric motors, and Lineartronic® CVT are all combined to power the Crosstrek Hybrid. The EPA rates this plug-in SUV’s range at 480 miles, 35 MPG, and its pure electric driving range at up to 17 miles.
Subaru’s award-winning EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology, which includes automatic pre-collision braking, pre-collision throttle management, lane keep assist, lane departure and sway warning, and lead vehicle start alert, is a standard feature on all Crosstrek models equipped with the Lineartronic CVT. For extra convenience, the EyeSight system now features Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane Centering.
