Subaru HomeLink Garage Door Pairing Steps
Learning to sync a garage door opener with your Subaru is quite simple! If you have a few spare minutes, you can program your Subaru HomeLink garage door opener. Review the following steps and be enlightened:
- Press and release the HomeLink button, then wait for an orange light flash on your mirror.
- Upon seeing said flash, hold your current remote so it is 3 inches away from the button that you are programming.
- Press and hold the remote button until the orange light becomes green.
- Press your selected HomeLink button and check the indicator light. If the light is solid green, you have completed programming your Subaru garage door opener. If the light is flashing, press the HomeLink button until the flashing ceases. Repeat this process three times to finish the programming process.
It is possible to program most garage door openers with this method. However, some require pressing a “Learn” button. If this is the case with your vehicle, have a friend or family member hold the “Learn” button down while you press the HomeLink button three times for two seconds each.
